Before getting started have these ingredients ready.Slice some garlic, cut up some green tomato into cubes and chop some good quality anchovies and pitted gaeta olives. Break up some walnuts and have some capers on hand.
Just about 2 minutes before spaghetti is ready, sauté garlic till brown and add some hot pepper flakes, olives, walnuts, capers anchovies and green tomatoes.Cook on high heat about 5 minutes stirring from time to time. Shut off fire if the timing is a bit off while waiting for the pasta.
When pasta is just about ready, turn sauce back on high heat and toss the pasta.Add some fresh basil and some more olive oil and top with some whole anchovie before serving.
