Delete that frozen packaged version.This easy to make delicacy takes 5 minutes to make.
In a large frying pan , add about 2 tablespoons of butter and a good amount of chopped shallots. Sauté on low heat until shallots are golden . Immediately add the spinach ( leaves should be whole but could also be chopped). Continue to cook stirring non stop until the spinach is completely wilted. Add as much spinach as you like depending on the amount of guests.
Add a splash of heavy cream and preferred cheeses. I like to mix grated parmigiano and asiago. Add as much cheese needed to help thicken while its melting. Add a bit of freshly grated nutmeg.Taste for salt/pepper and serve .
